Assessment of Εrasmus actions in 2022

Βy carrying out the third and last mobility in the town of Μarsala in Sicily from 26 /11/ 2022 to 4/12/2022 the Erasmus partnership program “Reduce- Reuse-Recycle” was successfully completed. In this program the 1st Epal of Psahna participated together with Liceo Statale Pascasino (Italian host school) and the French School College Aime Cesaire located on the volcanic island of Reunion (French overseas territory in the Indian Ocean).

11 students and 2 accompanying teachers participated in this last mobility. During their stay in the town of Marsala the students were accommodated by families of Italian students and were guided around the modern school facilities while engaging in activities related to recycling as well as cultural ones. They visited Mazara , Trapani, Selinunda ,Erice. In Palermo they saw the famous Massimo theatre, the Cathedral and the Puppet Museum.

The first mobility of the program took place in March 2022 with the visit of 8 students and 2 accompanying teachers of our school as well as students and teachers of the Italian school on the island of Reunion, something that few European schools have achieved.

During their stay on the French island the students were accommodated by families of the French students, they were guided around the modern school facilities and they visited: lava tunnels, a tropical vegetation park, plantations and facilities for processing award-winning vanilla crop and swam into a coral reef. They also participated in activities related to the theme of the program. On the way back they had the opportunity to tour Paris, walk in the Elysian Fields, and visit the Eiffel Tower.

The second mobility of the project was implemented in May 2022, with the reception and hosting of Italian and French teachers and students in Evia. During their stay, the students were accommodated by families of the Greek students, they were guided to our school premises and participated in activities related to the theme of the program which included meeting local institutions and being informed about the local economy.

At the town hall they spoke with the mayor Mr.Psathas about the water problem in the area. At the same time, they had the opportunity to visit the companies “Soya” and “Palirroia” as well as the greenhouses of the company “Mushrooms Dirfis”.

Actions have taken place for entertainment and cultural interest. The students visited the Sacred Rock of the Acropolis, walked in Monastiraki and Thisio, but they also had the opportunity to hike in Steni,Evia, swim at Alykes beach and tour around the town of Chalkida observing the Evripos phenomenon and tasting the local souvlaki.

Within 2022, appart from the mobilities within the framework of the aforementioned K2 partnership, our school carried out a KA1 training mobility in Valencia, Spain for 16 days during the period 24/7/1022-8/8/2022. 18 students and 2 accompanying teachers participated in this mobility. The title of this program was” Business Development of Smart Mobiles and Cloud Computing Services”.

During their stay in the town of Guardamar, they attended classes at the host institution ”IES Encante”, created their own educational e-shop, presented their creations and received their certificates. At the university of Alicante they had the opportunity to be informed by relevant university professors on multimedia, Wi-Fi, wired network, servers, UAcloud, institutional website in the case of multiple users (over 25,000 users- students and professors). At the offices of the Greek community of Alicante, they were informed about issues concerning the Greeks who live there, but they also attended a presentation by experts on issues of the European intellectual property organization EUIPO.

They were given a tour of the factory of the international reputation company for professional footwear and net manufacturer “PANTER” and were informed about the application of new technologies to traceability in production systems. They visited the neighbouring towns of Murcia and Elche. They were lucky enough to attend the local festival of Morosy Cristianos which take place in memory of the liberation of the region. During their stay in Valencia, they visited the offices of the Greek consulate, where they were informed of the responsibilities of the consul as well as a Greek owned restaurant business and were informed by the Greek businessman about the problems and the prospects of setting up a business in a foreign country. They had the opportunity to visit the Oceanographic Museum in Valencia and the Science Museum as well. They carried out excursions to the beautiful Malvarrosa beach in Valencia and to the waterfalls in the town of Bunol.
